Hello world!

Welcome!

Our names are Lisa and Connor, and together we are LearnBody – Everything Physical Therapy.

We are both licensed physical therapists who attended UCSF/SFSU and graduated in 2021.

Fast Forward four years later, we are both licensed practicing physical therapists in Los Angeles.

We have experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Currently, Connor is working at a private outpatient clinic in Santa Monica, and Lisa is working at a hospital in East Los Angeles.

We both came together to create LearnBody for many reasons:

1. Condensing and Compartmentalizing

There’s just so much information in physical therapy. And as clinicians, you may not remember all that you’ve learned in school or from work experiences. And we thought creating a blog was a great way to simply store all the knowledge we’ve gained into one place so we can always refer back to it if needed.

2. Teaching

We talked about referring back to this space if we needed something to jog our memories about a diagnosis or technique, but we also see it as a great way to give our fellow physical therapists, physical therapy students and the general public a space to refer to as well. The hope is that the people who visit this space will leave having gained new and helpful information/knowledge.

3. Learning

As physical therapists, we understand that the practice is constantly evolving. And it is up to us to keep up and maintain up-to-date with evidence-based research. So, the thing about teaching is that it also goes in hand with learning. Through teaching, we are also researching to make sure that the information we present to you guys is the most recent and up-to-date.

So, here at LearnBody, you will find just about anything and everything about physical therapy, from learning about different diagnoses, to different manual techniques and modalities, to performing hospital transfers as well as original videos created by us.

We are so glad that you are here with us. We, as LearnBody, will work on presenting you with information that is evidence-based and easily digestible. Please check out our blog posts, and if you like what you see, leave a comment below!
